AIM — Advising in Minutes, a product of agentiq.biz
Last updated: 8/1/2026

1. Overview

AIM is designed to be FERPA-safe and privacy-first by architecture: it runs entirely in your web browser, has no server-side backend, requires no account or sign-up, and does not transmit any data to agentiq.biz. This policy explains what that means in practice and what happens to information when you use the App.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

agentiq.biz does not operate servers that receive, log, or store the documents, transcripts, requirement sheets, or audit results you work with in the App. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect names, emails, or other identifying information from you simply to use the App. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics within the App.

3. Information Sent to Your Chosen AI Provider

To generate audits, the App sends the content you provide (program requirements, anonymized transcript data, and related prompts) directly from your browser to the AI provider you select — for example, Google (Gemini) or Anthropic (Claude) — using the API key you supply. This transmission goes directly from your device to that provider; it does not pass through or get stored on any agentiq.biz server. That provider’s handling of the data is governed by its own privacy policy and terms, which we encourage you to review:

  • Google AI / Gemini API: see Google’s Privacy Policy and Gemini API terms.
  • Anthropic / Claude API: see Anthropic’s Privacy Policy and Commercial Terms of Service.

4. Local Browser Storage

If you choose to “remember” your API key, it is saved using your browser’s local storage mechanism, on your own device only. agentiq.biz never receives or has access to this key. You can clear it at any time by using the App’s own controls or by clearing your browser’s site data for this page.

5. FERPA and Student Data

The App is built to be used with de-identified transcript data — course codes, titles, credits, and grades, without student names or ID numbers. Because agentiq.biz has no visibility into what you paste or upload, you (and your institution, where applicable) remain responsible for ensuring that any data entered complies with FERPA and any other applicable student-privacy laws or institutional policy. We recommend never entering a student’s name, ID number, or other directly identifying information into the App.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for use by faculty, administrators, and students in a higher-education advising context and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security

Because the App does not transmit your data to agentiq.biz, the primary security considerations are (a) the security of your own device and browser, and (b) the security practices of the third-party AI provider you choose. We recommend keeping your API key confidential and following your institution’s guidance on acceptable use of AI tools with student data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.

This is a general-purpose privacy policy template describing the App’s architecture and is not a substitute for review by qualified legal counsel or your institution’s privacy/compliance office, particularly given FERPA considerations.
